Do the corten steel damage the plants?
You can grow and plant all kinds of vegetables and plants in this plant box. Steel is a natural material and will not release toxic substances to your vegetables. If you are in doubt anyway, we recommend that you for the box with a plastic wrap, flamingo, insulation mat or similar. This will also isolate the soil from the sides of the box and extend the life.
Corten steel is generally not harmful to the plants as it is a corrosion -resistant material that does not release harmful chemicals or metals. However, it may be important to examine the pH value of the soil and add soil-enhancing materials if needed, as corten steel may tend to lower the soil's pH value.
It is also important to provide good drainage in the plant boxes and high beds, as corten steel can rust if it is persistently wet.
It is also recommended to prune the plants regularly and provide good ventilation in the plant boxes and high beds so that the plants are not suffocated by excess moisture.
Do galvanized steel damage the plants?
