Add a sub tray

Place a sub tray under the planter to catch excess water and prevent it from leaking onto the floor. Trays can be purchased in different sizes and materials to suit your décor.

Use lightweight soil

Lightweight soil is ideal for indoor planters as it is specially formulated to improve drainage and air circulation. It helps prevent root rot and keeps plants healthy indoors.

Ventilation and air circulation

Make sure there is sufficient ventilation around the planter. Do not place it directly against walls or furniture so that air can circulate freely. This helps prevent mold and mildew growth.

Floor protection

To further protect your floors, you can place the planter on a small platform or feet. This will lift the planter off the floor and prevent moisture damage.
